We Take Privacy Seriously

We believe in radical transparency. Here is exactly what we do and do not collect:

Your images never leave your device. This is not a marketing claim — it is a technical reality enforced by our architecture. IMGVO uses the browser's native Canvas API, WebAssembly modules, and the File System Access API to process images entirely client-side.

When you open an image in IMGVO:

• The file is read by your browser's JavaScript engine
• Processing (conversion, compression, resizing) happens in your browser's memory
• The output file is written directly to your device
• No network request is made at any point during processing

We have no technical ability to access your images. Even if we wanted to, our tools do not have the infrastructure to receive image uploads.

Your conversion history (file names, formats, sizes) may be stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB for convenience. This data never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's local data for imgvo.com.

We use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how people use IMGVO. This helps us prioritise which tools to improve and which formats to support next.

Our analytics collect:

• Page views — which pages and tools you visit (no file content)
• Referrer — where you came from (search engine, direct, etc.)
• Browser and OS — anonymised technical information
• Country — derived from IP address, not stored individually

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or fingerprinting. We do not share analytics data with third-party advertisers.

IMGVO is a Progressive Web App (PWA) and uses a service worker to cache static assets for offline use. This service worker does not track your activity.

IMGVO uses a small number of third-party services necessary for the website to function:

• Google Fonts — loads the Plus Jakarta Sans typeface. Google may log your IP address when the font is requested. See Google's privacy policy for details.
• CDN / Hosting — our static files are served via a CDN. The provider may log standard server access logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) which are retained for a short period for security purposes.

We do not use Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, Hotjar, Intercom, or any other advertising or behaviour-tracking tools.

Because IMGVO does not collect personal data tied to your identity, most data rights (access, rectification, deletion) do not apply in the traditional sense. However, you have full control over your local data:

• Conversion history — clear it any time in your browser settings (Clear site data for imgvo.com)
• Cookies — block or delete via your browser settings at any time
• Service worker cache — can be cleared in browser DevTools under Application → Service Workers

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) and believe we hold personal data about you, please contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

IMGVO is a general-purpose image tool with no age restrictions on use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since we do not collect any personal information from any users, children included, there is no special risk.

If you believe a child has submitted personal data to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will indicate the date of the last update at the top of this page. For material changes, we may add a notice to our homepage.

Your continued use of IMGVO after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
